For maintenance and repair enquiries, include the door brand and a description of the issue where possible.

Site assessment
For new installation, retrofit projects and maintenance contract enquiries, a site visit is conducted to review the entrance geometry, structural constraints, traffic volumes, and any integration requirements with fire alarm, access control, or building management systems

Specification and proposal
A written proposal is prepared covering the recommended system configuration, technical specification, compliance documentation, scope of works, and pricing.
For projects with multiple entrance types, the proposal covers each opening individually.

Installation
All mechanical, civil, and electrical works are carried out by ACCESSCO’s trained team to manufacturer specification and in full accordance with BCA registration requirements.

Commissioning and handover
Every system is tested, calibrated, and demonstrated before handover. Full documentation is provided, including references to compliance certifications and operational guidance for the facilities team.
Once handed over, a Defects Liability Period (DLP) comes into effect, during which clients may contact us regarding any system-related issues at no additional charge.

Ongoing maintenance and support
ACCESSCO offers structured maintenance programmes and breakdown response servicing to sustain system performance and regulatory compliance over the full operating life of the installation.
After the DLP lapses, clients will be advised on the recommended maintenance schedule and may opt for either a comprehensive or non-comprehensive maintenance plan.

Most of ACCESSCO’s automated entrance systems support integration with fire alarm systems and smoke detectors. Upon receiving a trigger signal, the door can be configured to default to a fail-safe open position to support emergency egress, or to close to contain smoke, depending on the building’s fire safety strategy.
Can the system integrate with existing access control infrastructure such as RFID, biometrics, or facial recognition?
Yes. ACCESSCO’s automatic entrance solutions are compatible with a wide range of access control hardware, including RFID card readers, biometric systems, facial recognition terminals, and intercoms.
What happens to the entrance system during a power outage?
The behaviour of the door during a power failure depends on the system type and the fail-safe configuration set during commissioning. Most systems default to a defined safe position — either fail-safe open to support emergency egress, or fail-safe closed to maintain security or containment — in accordance with the building’s emergency strategy.
Integration with an uninterruptible power supply can be specified for environments where powered operation must be maintained during a power interruption.
